Experience the stories of the pioneers, adventurers, and innovators who have followed the path of the Great Platte River Road through Nebraska for over 180 years. During your tour of the Archway, your students will walk with the pioneers over the Oregon Trail, see a Pony Express rider come in to a Pony Express station, relive the driving of the Golden Spike that united the nation’s railroads, hear stories of life on America’s first transcontinental highway, the Lincoln Highway, and more. It’s a history lesson your students will never forget!
