Soda Fountain Sundae

Join us at the Archway for a special “socially distanced” Soda Fountain Sundae.  Enjoy a free performance by Nebraska singer and storyteller Dan Holtz while we practice “social distancing” in the Archway Event Room.  Seating will be limited and spaced appropriately for safety.  As always, immediately following the concert, we’ll serve old-fashioned root beer floats.  The concert is FREE. We appreciate any donations you may wish to make.  Soda Fountain Sundaes are sponsored by Humanities Nebraska, First National Bank of Omaha, and Jim and Kathleen McKenzie. Hooks and Ladders

Small Fishing

Join us along with members of the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department for a fun evening of fishing on the pond at the Archway and Nebraska Firefighters Museum.  All the equipment will be provided courtesy of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.  Beginners and experienced anglers are all welcome.  Instruction will be provided for those who need it.  And, the event is FREE.  All you have to do is show up and have fun!  The event is co-sponsored by the Archway and the Nebraska Firefighters Museum. Art at the Arch – Outdoor Watercolor with Kellie

Art Instructor Kellie Jo Risk

Discover your creative side with watercolor artist Kellie Jo Risk. Kellie is an accomplished artist who taught at the University of Nebraska Kearney for over 20 years.  In this class, young artists and adults will learn basic watercolor techniques while they are guided in completing paintings on prairie landscape and wildlife themes. No previous experience is needed and all the materials will be provided. In order to facilitate social distancing, the class will be held in the Archway Picnic Shelter.  The cost of the workshop is $25 per student. Call (308) 237-1000 for information.

  • Vintage soda fountain available
  • Big screen TVs, podium, audio system available
  • Catering is available
  • Alcohol cannot be served without appropriate licensing. Licensing will be secured through your caterer. Allow at least 6 weeks for the licensing process.

  • Outdoor meetings, weddings, family picnics and celebrations
  • Seats up to 150
  • Charcoal grills are provided
