Celebrate the American spirit of adventure at the Archway
The Archway was designed with tour groups in mind. For reservations contact
Since pre-historic times, the path along the Platte River through Nebraska, once called the Great Platte River Road, has been a thoroughfare for adventurers traveling across the continent. From the Oregon Trail era to toady, the Archway’s historical exhibit brings the story of the Great Platte River Road to life. Make the Archway part of your group’s travel adventure.
The Archway is happy to arrange catering for groups of 10 or more. We work with the best restaurants and caterers in central Nebraska to provide your group with a high-quality meal with no hassle for you. No waiting in line for fast food or wondering if a restaurant can accommodate your group’s needs. The Archway’s event room can accommodate up to 150 people. Call or email Stacy Schwartz, (308.237.1000) for more information.
You can spend as little as an hour and a half touring the Archway’s historical exhibit or spend all afternoon at the Archway. Take advantage of ample and clean restrooms. Browse our shop for unique locally made gifts. Pick up snacks for the trail. Explore our replica sod house. Join the “Gold Rush” at the Archway Mining Company. Take a group photo with our famous buffalo sculpture. Stroll on our hike/bike trail. Pick up visitor information and historical trail literature at our Nebraska Visitor Center.
Located just 3 miles east of the Archway, Kearney, Nebraska, offers a wide variety of tour experience possibilities. Plan to stay for a while and enjoy everything Kearney has to offer.
