Heroes Week at the Archway

Heroes Week at the Archway

Police officers, firefighters, National Guard members and emergency medical technicians will join with Heroes Week Campers for special projects that help children understand the important work these heroes do every day.  The week will be filled with fun, hands-on activities and interactive play and will end with a special presentation for families and friends.  Presented in partnership with Crane River Theater.

Designed for students in grades K-5.  May 28-31 from 9am – 12pm.  Cost $40/student.  Registration opens on April 1. 

Heroes Week is presented with the support of the Peter Kiewit Foundation, the Arram Family Foundation, the Theodore G. Baldwin Foundation and First National Bank.

 

Soda Fountain Sundae

Soda Fountain Sundae

Smithsonian Institution recording artists Bob and Sheila Everhart return to the Archway with a program of traditional western and cowboy favorites.  Join us for this program of historical music of the pioneers and classic western tunes that you won’t want to miss.  Following the performance, join us for root beer floats served from our vintage soda fountain.  Admission to the musical performance is free.  Donations for root beer floats are welcome.

Old-Fashioned 4th of July at the Archway

Old-Fashioned 4th of July at the Archway

Participants will step back in time to celebrate our nation’s birth with old-fashioned children’s games, patriotic songs, and hands-on activities.  We’ll enjoy an old-fashioned 4th of July picnic and even a parade!  At the end of the day, we’ll all join in performing a special patriotic program for families and friends.  Old-Fashioned 4th of July is presented in partnership with Crane River Theater.

Designed for children in grades K-5.  Monday July 1 from 9:00am – 4:00pm.  Registration opens on April 1.

  • Alcohol cannot be served without appropriate licensing. Licensing will be secured through your caterer. Allow at least 6 weeks for the licensing process.

Platte River Room

  • Meetings, weddings, receptions and celebrations
  • Seats up to 150 people
  • Vintage soda fountain available
  • Projector, screen, audio system available
  • Catering is available
  • Alcohol cannot be served without appropriate licensing. Licensing will be secured through your caterer. Allow at least 6 weeks for the licensing process.

Archway Picnic Shelter

  • Outdoor meetings, weddings, family picnics and celebrations
  • Seats up to 150
  • Charcoal grills are provided
