Soda Fountain Sundae – Jerome Kills Small

Date: June 13, 2021
Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am

Learn about traditional Native American culture when you join us for a presentation by Oglala Lakota storyteller and oral historian Jerome Kills Small.  His presentation will include traditional songs and stories that reflect the culture and beliefs of the Oglala Lakota people.

“The foundation of our life is written in our hearts.  We have oral traditional history.  It is written in each and every person..,”  says Kills Small, who learned stories and songs growing up in his grandparent’s house in South Dakota.

After the presentation, we’ll serve root beer floats from the Archway’s vintage soda fountain.  The presentation is free.  Donations for floats are appreciated.

Our flexible seating arrangement allows us to observe social distancing.  Face coverings are recommended, but not required.

Soda Fountain Sundaes are presented with the support of Humanities Nebraska and sponsored by Diane and Michael Schnieders.
