The pioneers who traveled the Oregon Trail came from far and wide. But they endured many common hardships and joys. With this program, David Marsh celebrates the diverse backgrounds of the pioneers and shares stories and songs of their common experiences in building our nation. The performance is free and open to the public and is presented with the support of Humanities Nebraska and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
Following the performance, join us for ice cream sodas served from the Archway’s vintage soda fountain. Donations welcome.
A short dedication ceremony will mark the official opening of the new hike/bike trail linking the Archway with Fort Kearney State Park. Join us to celebrate the link between these two popular central Nebraska recreational destinations and be among the first to hike or bike the new trail.
